Historic Restoration of Neoclassical Mansion in Virginia-Highlands

The house, built in 1913, had been neglected and left empty for years until recently purchased. 

The new homeowners contracted with us to completely gut and restore the home to its former glory. 

We are faithfully restoring the exterior as it was originally built, however inside we are completely opening up the floorplan and modernizing the spaces. 

Job one is rebuilding the roof and stopping the many leaks that threaten to completely destroy the house from within. 

Inside, where once walls separated the 4 rooms on the main level, engineered beams are being installed to open the rooms to each other. This will allow for better flow for entertaining and create a more modern lifestyle. 

Upstairs, we are consolidating the many small bedrooms to make a large master suite with walk in closet, as well as two other bedrooms with new closets.  

The project is slated for completion in late 2009 and we will update the website with all the after photos as a comparison of how far this house will come.
